Dr Harding serves as a Clinical Advisor for the Family and Personal Relationship Laboratory. Before recently retiring she was the Head of the Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology Services for the National Health Service (NHS) in the Kingdom of Fife.

Since coming to Scotland in 1987, Dr. Harding has been involved in committee work for the British Psychological Society (BPS), The Special Interest Group for Children and Young People and the BPS Division of Clinical Psychology. She has a general interest in service delivery and design and was involved in work reviewing and making recommendations for service delivery and design in child and adolescent mental health at the national level (Public Health Institute for Scotland, Needs Assessment on Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Scottish Executive, 2003).

Besides her work with the university and the lab, she is presently employed in two part-time jobs (wasn't she retired?). She is (through NHS Education Scotland and Yorkhill Children's Hospital, Glasgow) Project Manager for the new proposed one year M.Sc. training course in Psychological Interventions for Children and Young People. She also works as a part-time Lecturer on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (University of Edinburgh/NHS Scotland) Training Course.
