Kim is a third year Ph.D. student whose research interests deal with social comparisons people make between themselves and others in romantic relationships and how such comparisons are affected by popular media consumption. Kim was awarded a First Class Degree in Applied Psychology from Heriot-Watt in 2007 and also won the Watt Club Medal for exceptional distinction in the final honours year - the highest achievement possible in undergraduate studies. She recently had a condensed version on her undergraduate thesis published and also has been 2nd author on a paper and a chapter.
