High Blood Pressure Symptoms

No matter how common high blood pressure rate can be, that’s no excuse to think that it is not so important because almost everybody else has it. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 7 out of 10 people who get their first heart attack have high blood pressure, where as 8 out of 10 people who experience their first stroke also have high blood pressure symptoms.

HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE AND RISK FACTORS

What causes high blood pressure?  What are the main causes of hypertension? There are many contributing factors and one of the factors that causes affected people a lot of sensitivity is suffering from being overweight or obesity.  Listed below are what causes hypertension risk factors to go up:

Diabetes. With diabetes, your hypertension risk increases but a vicious cycle develops where both diseases reinforce each other. Diabetes with hypertension increases your risk for vision loss and renal diseases.

Smoking. Smoking has been demonstrated time and again to block the arteries. When oxygen and blood pathways are blocked, your heart is forced to pump faster to get oxygen to your brain. As a result, blood pressure range spikes and, as the condition becomes chronic, you develop hypertension.

Sedentary Lifestyle. Who are at risk of hypertension? Sedentary lifestyle increases your chances of developing risk factors for many chronic and degenerative diseases and often leads to obesity.

Pregnancy. Blood pressure symptoms are also commonly felt during pregnancy. What are the risks for high blood pressure? Hypertension during pregnancy is commonly experienced by women who are pregnant for the first time or, who are at an advanced age. During this time, the woman’s heart beats faster to support the baby in the womb but also as a result of weight gain and increasing limitations to movement as the pregnancy progresses. Post-pregnancy, women often encounter reviews on phenocal and similar weight loss supplements. Although these supplements can be helpful, certain tweaks to your diet and physical activity are often a top requirement.

Excessive Alcohol Intake. Many people experience a hypertensive crisis, the condition where blood pressure builds up to a stroke, after a night of binge drinking. Alcohol and blood pressure do not necessarily have to be in conflict if you can learn to start drinking less frequently and to drink moderately when you do.

Kidney Disease. When waste products, including excess salts are not properly drained from the body, toxins, including sodium build up in your body. Too much salt in your system causes your healthy blood pressure to be breached and can easily develop into hypertension.

Old Age. High blood pressure symptoms are commonly felt by the elderly. What is hypertension among elders? The new guideline now followed is that the recommended blood pressure should not be more than 150/90.

Overweight and Obesity. Two of the most common reasons for high blood pressure, overweight and obesity have many people seeking for the top rated weight loss pills. Decreasing body weight is recommended as a top priority on how to lower blood pressure if your weight is beyond your ideal Body-Mass Index.

HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE AND SYMPTOMS

The threshold for hypertension among adults below 60 years old is 130/80. Any higher than that at any given time does not necessarily make you hypertensive. When a reading above 130/80 becomes your norm, even when you are well-rested then, you may have hypertension. In which case, your doctor will most likely order other tests to be done on you, which may include blood cholesterol, stress test, electrocardiogram and echocardiogram.

You should have your BP taken and observed over a prolonged period of time if you experience any of the following symptoms:

  • Palpitations
  • Dizziness and nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Frequent nosebleeds
  • Breathlessness
  • Severe and chronic headaches
  • Uncontrollable shaking
  • Bell’s palsy

Complications of undiagnosed and mismanaged hypertension include the following:

  • Stroke
  • Heart attack
  • Kidney failure
  • Loss of vision
  • Blood in the eye caused by burst blood vessel

HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE AND WEIGHT LOSS

An essential hypertension treatment recommendation is weight loss, particularly among sufferers who exceed their recommended BMI. What can doctors prescribe for weight loss? There are a number of medications that doctors can prescribe but also several other weight loss pills that aren’t recommended for hypertensive patients. Some of the factors that your doctor will take into consideration when making a decision about whether or not to give you any medication for weight loss and, if any, which kind, are as follows:

  • Your overall health condition
  • Other medications in your regimen
  • Severity of obesity
  • The volume of fat that you need to lose
  • Family history of diseases

You should never take any diet pill without consulting with your doctor first simply because you are not asking a simple question of, “Is there a pill to lose belly fat?”. More importantly, many weight loss pills have already been implicated in the development of many lifelong diseases and some have even beer shown to increase people’s risks for developing heart disease, and experiencing stroke and heart attacks.

The big secret to weight loss with hypertension is that the single, most significant change that you can make is to alter your lifestyle and habits. Apart from seeking medication and supplements to help ease your high blood pressure symptoms, you should also consider natural remedies for high blood pressure as well as eliminating foods that cause high blood pressure from your diet, most especially meat, salts and sweets.

What supplement is best for weight loss? Make sure to ask your doctor about it first before you go ahead and swallow a single pill. The other important question to ask if whether losing weight also lower your blood pressure and the answer, based on research, is an overwhelming, “Yes”. According to the American Heart Association, “ If you are overweight, losing as little as five to 10 pounds may help lower your blood pressure”.

CONCLUSION

When hypertension has become your reality, you need to go above and beyond finding out “What vitamins are good for losing belly fat?” Instead, you have to make healthy choices out of necessity and not just to blindly follow some fad weight loss scheme. It takes time and a lot of hard work to gain your ideal weight but, all the pressure is good — you just need to change your mindset to start looking at your situation in a more positive light.
