Pros And Cons Of Prohormone Supplements

When training, most people get to one point where they think about using supplementation in order to progress more. Almost every athlete is using some kind of supplement because their body is under a lot of stress from a couple of trainings per day. Everyone should do some investigation before trying anything because there are products that can harm if you not used correctly.

It’s great that the industry improved a lot and we have more secure products that went through a lot of testing. You probably heard about steroids because bodybuilders use them to gain more muscle and to compete and many people think prohormones are anabolic steroids, but there are important differences. It is okay if you want to look great, but if you plan to use something like that, your training needs to be on point where consistency is essential.

About Prohormones

Maybe the most important thing about it to the customer is that prohormone supplements are legal, unlike some anabolic steroids. The biggest difference and the reason why it is legal is that they are active only when processed or swallowed. On the other hand, steroids are, for example, applied by injection and that is it. They don’t have to be processed in the body and turned into a hormone.

It is always better to have something more secure and stable. It’s illegal to inject raw testosterone, so you might think of having a supplement that will just boost your hormone production. There are a lot of advantages you will physically have, but there are also downsides if you don’t it correctly.

What are the Advantages?

Most people only focus on the benefits they will have from some supplement. You should always consult a doctor because maybe your body won’t react great to it which can end up badly. Having professional help will only benefit you. But, to many athletes, this doesn’t matter because they are only focused on success.

It depends on how much you take, but most athletes have the same benefits. They include enhanced muscle gains and body mass. This is recommended for every bodybuilder that has a goal to become larger. It’s also important how you use it, for what type of training because your body will adapt to it. You will gain endurance, strength, and stamina faster. Through many tests, it is proven that you will have a sex drive boost. Because it affects your hormones, you can experience a deeper voice and a defined jawline. The recovery after training is also improved and it is good to mention that it is FDA regulated.

What are the Cons?

Most professionals recommend that you take them in cycles because of the negative effects that can happen if you use it too much. It is essential that you use it under control and always follow the schedule. There shouldn’t be any problems if you have a healthy lifestyle besides using this kind of supplementation. Everything depends on the person and how his body accepts it.

The most recognized problem is that it can damage liver cells. There are many things related to a damaged liver but some other cons include swollen prostate and acne. You can experience headaches, nausea, and dizziness. Affecting hormones can cause rapid weight loss or gain. It also includes organ enlargement and hair loss. Some people experience rage while training. There are supplements that are used to prevent some of these issues, but most people experience a couple of them at some point.

Should You Take It?

There isn’t a straight answer you can give to this question because it depends on a person. But, there is an age limit which is 21 because your endocrine system still develops. A lot of problems can occur if your body is full of testosterone. The production of natural testosterone will be unbalanced. If you are planning in competing, they are a must if you want to beat your competition.

A lifestyle like that can be hard but interesting and your body will look great. You would have to leave alcohol forever, so your liver can be safe. Even if you are taking some other supplements like lecithin, green tea, taurine, that can protect the liver, you can’t drink alcohol.
